Behind-the-scenes of the MSSU basketball "Pump Up" video production
Out of our seven-person crew here at Storm Cloud Marketing, five are graduates of Missouri Southern State University. Naturally, when MSSU Athletics reached out to see if we could help out with a video project, we were filled with Lion pride.
TV versus Radio versus Digital Marketing
Have you been thinking about how best to reach your customers? As a business owner, it is important to understand the best options to match your marketing needs. How you advertise affects your customer reach and marketing budget. We will introduce you to the differences and benefits of radio, television, and digital marketing to help you find the right fit.
Why video is important in your marketing
You’re trying to drive clients to your website. You have a well-designed web layout, an eye-pleasing logo at the top of the screen, but then: a wall of text, the font small and hard to read. Even if the words are well written and give a succinct, accurate description of your business, in today’s world, not everyone will read. Not everyone will want to read.
Our most surprising clients? Other agencies.
Yup. You read that right. We do work for other agencies. When I first started with this agency in 2008, the agency world was a different beast. Competition was fierce. Collaboration was rare. The marketing world of 2019 has forced us all to either grow in-house capabilities or partner with third-party providers. If inviting a partner firm to the party means that you’re able to achieve more toward the client’s goals, do it.
Downstream Casino New Year's Eve BTS
The end of the year means a lot of things to a lot of people. Here in our studio, it means producing another insane New Year’s Eve promotional video for Downstream Casino Resort.
Marketing Trends Heading Into 2018
As we near the end of 2017, marketers and business owners will inevitably scramble to figure out what changes need to be made for 2018. Even if what you’re doing is working just fine, you need to keep an eye on the emerging trends and technologies, and you need to start auditing to see how they might plug into your current plan.
A Bike Park in Pineville
Through our work with Atlas Safe Rooms, we’ve also been able to take on some projects for their sister company, Progressive Bike Ramps.‍This particular adventure involved capturing a new bike park in Pineville, Missouri on opening day. This would be a great opportunity to capture a lot of action with film on the different features of the bike park, which Progressive Bike Ramps can then use to show more Parks & Rec Directors what can be accomplished with the bike park concept.
Columbia Bicycles in LA
When Columbia Bicycles was invited to The TALK on CBS as a featured product, they jumped on it and asked Storm Stanley to come along. I mean, we had to really think hard about whether or not to go—just kidding, we were giddy children. Over the week that we would be in LA, we would interface with the show’s production staff as a representative of Columbia, and we wanted to take the opportunity to get some different scenery for product photos and videos. We got it.
2016 Shock Reel
2016 was one heck of a year! A lot of people, and businesses, are just glad it’s behind them. But for us, 2016 was pretty darn amazing! We’re so proud of our team and what we accomplished in 2016 that we wanted to revisit some of our most favorite and kick butt projects and to share them with you! So, yea, 2016 was pretty good to us, and taught us that we are kind of a big deal – and this video proves it! Now, bring on 2017!
