Meet Mike!
Mike Quick is an owner/partner in Hertzog Meat Co. located in Butler, MO. Hertzog has a very unique vertically integrated business model as the producer and the processor of their own premium beef products. They provide high-quality, dry-aged upper choice and prime beef directly to consumers or through food service channels. As one of the owners, Mike is responsible for the training, sales, and marketing portion of Hertzog Meat Co., and had the opportunity to become an owner/partner in 2022. This opportunity began after Mike retired from his 21-year career at Best Buy and he was on the hunt for a business he could have some real ownership in.
Mike has always had a passion for cooking and premium products so this was a natural fit for him. Now he has the chance to travel to some of the best restaurants in the country and cut Hertzog’s premium beef VS others.
Outside of work, he keeps busy with his Wife Justina, Kids, Wyatt, and Elsie, and enjoys watching the Chiefs dominate the AFC West.
What brought you to Storm Cloud Marketing?
We were frustrated with the marketing partner we had in KC and I knew Tony. He had mentioned if we ever wanted a second opinion or needed something done to give him a call. Finally, we ran out of patience with our former partner and set up a meeting. The rest is history!
What services do you utilize the Storm team for?
We’ve utilized the Storm team for numerous things…. Website support and design. Marketing campaigns, catalogs, banner and print design, and presentations. The most important thing to me is actual customer service. This is where Storm shines. They are always available and have never told me NO. They find a way to make things happen and will recommend things to help us reach our goals. I view them as a real partner and can count on them to deliver even when the timelines are not ideal.
If you could have lunch with one celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Great question…. I lean on having fun and making the most out of your opportunities. With that in mind, I’d probably say Chris Farley or Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter.
What is one thing you couldn't live without and why?
Our awesome employees. Our team has a can-do/will-do attitude and works hard to make us one of the best processing facilities in the USA.
Who is your favorite Storm team member? And why? (We won't tell!)
I like everyone! But Tony is the reason we are a client so I’ll go with him. He is a great advocate for Storm and works after hours to sell the brand.
What song is currently on repeat for you?

What are you most looking forward to for your business in the coming year?
Adding some big accounts and growing our business!
Where is your favorite place you have traveled to and why?
Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. Life is slow and simple plus the island is beautiful.

What is the most important lesson you have learned at your job/business?
A hungry dog runs faster and attitude and effort always make the biggest difference.
Who has been the most influential person in your career and why?
There have been a few…. Mike Bier one of my old bosses stands out a little. He led with gratitude and would push others to be the best version of themselves
