The Project

Recently, Storm Cloud Marketing had the opportunity to work alongside one of our long-time clients on the development of a whole new product line of powersport batteries, and I had the pleasure of spearheading the entire project. From logo and color palette creation, to label and package design, and ultimately to photos of the finished product, this was literally a project straight out of my childhood dreams!

Here is a look at this entire process from start to finish:

Brand Development

Our client already had a pretty good idea of what he wanted this brand to look like. Rather than starting from scratch and having each of our designers present design options, we looked at treatment options for what he already knew he wanted to use.

Our client also purchased this image from a local photographer to use as a main element in this brand, so all the logos had to be removed.

Packaging included both product labels and boxes. For this part of the project, we worked closely with the team at the production factory to ensure correct sizing and information for each piece. They provided templates for the different box sizes so we'd know exactly where the boxes would be cut and glued together as well as the technical information that is legally required to be included.

Print Material

Print material can be anything from brochures to owner's manuals. In this case, we needed to create a user manual that would be included in the box with each product and information sheets that would be used in the sale of the product.

Product Photos

Whether it's for an entire online store or a simple landing page, product photos are a must-have to showcase items online. Once the complete line of products had been assembled and delivered to our client, they brought them to us to be photographed in our studio.

Everything Else

We continue to do one-off projects for Striker products: display shelves, sale flyers, yearly price sheets, etc., and this continues to be one of my all-time favorite projects.

As a kid, I always imagined how cool it would be to enter a store and see products sitting on the shelves in boxes that I designed. Now, that actually happens, and it makes me giddy every time!
